What You Need to Know Before You Apply

What is the purpose of this trial?

The purpose of this research is to assess whether integration of an aerosol biosensor and air quality risk assessment software that integrates into a building management system will improve indoor air quality metrics in hospital environments and reduces risk factors associated with respiratory disease transmission.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

This trial is for people in hospital environments where there is a risk of catching or spreading acute respiratory tract infections. There are no specific inclusion or exclusion criteria listed, so it may involve patients, staff, or visitors.

Inclusion Criteria

Target Group: Mayo Clinic Staff working in ED with a minimum of .7 FTE in Midwest (MN and WI), Phoenix (AZ), or Jacksonville (FL) and patient contact
Reference Group: Mayo Clinic Staff working in primary care with a minimum of .7 FTE in Rochester (MN), Phoenix (AZ), or Jacksonville (FL) and patient contact

Exclusion Criteria

Any participant who does not meet either of the inclusion criteria

What Are the Treatments Tested in This Trial?

Trial Overview

The study is testing whether using an air quality monitoring system with biosensors and special software can improve indoor air quality and lower the risk of spreading respiratory infections in hospitals. Participants may be asked to use self-swab tests.
