What You Need to Know Before You Apply
What is the purpose of this trial?
Investigators will execute a mixed methods randomized controlled trial to determine the impacts of cash transfers of $1,000 per month for one month followed by $750 for eleven months. Investigators will measure the impacts of the cash transfers on physical and mental health, housing stability, healthcare utilization, financial stability, and interactions with the criminal legal system.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?
This trial is for adults (18 or older) who are leaving Nebraska state prisons during the study period. People must be recently released from prison to take part.Inclusion Criteria
What Are the Treatments Tested in This Trial?
Trial Overview
The study is testing whether giving people monthly cash payments ($1,000 for the first month, then $750 each month for eleven months) helps improve their health, housing, finances, and reduces legal troubles after release from prison. Participants are randomly assigned to receive these payments or not.
