What is the purpose of this trial?
This study plans to learn more about whether exercise can help protect the body from health problems that happen when a person's sleep and daily schedule are out of sync with their natural body clock (circadian rhythm).

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?
This trial is for healthy adults who experience disruptions to their sleep and daily routines, such as from night shift work or jet lag. People with major health issues or conditions that could interfere with exercise are not eligible.Inclusion Criteria

Trial Overview
The study is testing whether regular aerobic exercise can help reduce the negative effects of having your sleep schedule out of sync with your natural body clock. Participants will follow an exercise routine while researchers monitor their health.

Treatment groups
Experimental Treatment
Active Control
Participants in this arm will engage in simulated daytime work, with nighttime sleep, followed by 3 days of simulated night shift work, with day time sleep. In addition, participants will engage in a 45-minute bout of moderate intensity exercise at 2.5 hours after waking on days 3, 4, and 5.
