What is the purpose of this trial?
Nourishing At Home: Health-Related Social Needs Food Boxes Delivery Program is a pilot intervention study evaluating whether home delivery of medically tailored food boxes can reduce food insecurity and improve health outcomes among pediatric families including caregiver physical and mental health, child physical health, and overall family well-being.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?
This trial is for families with a child under 18 seen at Boston Medical Center Pediatrics who are struggling to get enough food and whose child has certain health conditions (like behavioral or complex physical issues). Participants must speak English or Spanish.Inclusion Criteria

Screening
Participants are screened for eligibility to participate in the trial
Standard of Care
Participants receive standard of care for six months
Food Home Delivery Intervention
Participants receive one home-delivered food box per month for six months
Follow-up
Participants are monitored for changes in food security and health outcomes

The study compares monthly home delivery of healthy food boxes to standard care, aiming to see if these deliveries help reduce food insecurity and improve the health of children and their caregivers.

Active Control
After the 6 months of standard of care all participants assigned to this group will receive in their homes one box of food per month for six months, containing food staples and fresh produce.
All participants will initially be assigned to this group for 6 months and will receive standard of care.
