Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation for Fibromyalgia
(PRANCIR Trial)
What You Need to Know Before You Apply
What is the purpose of this trial?
This pilot feasibility study aims to evaluate transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) targeting the prefrontal cortex in patients with fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS). The study will assess preliminary efficacy and mechanisms of central nervous system changes using neuroimaging, behavioral tasks, sensory testing, and neuroimmune markers. Participants will undergo MRI scans, multi-day TMS sessions, and complete questionnaires. The goal is to generate pilot data for future trials on neuromodulation for chronic pain.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?
This trial is for women aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia by a doctor, can read and understand English, agree to keep their medications and therapy unchanged during the study, and do not use opioid painkillers. People with MRI restrictions (like metal implants or claustrophobia), certain medical issues, or men cannot join.Inclusion Criteria

Trial Overview
The study is testing transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) applied to the prefrontal cortex in women with fibromyalgia. Participants will have several TMS sessions along with MRI scans, sensory tests, behavioral tasks, and questionnaires to see if TMS helps manage chronic pain.
