Educational Presentation for Cancer Survivorship

This trial aims to educate cancer survivors and their close community about radon risks and testing methods. Radon, a natural gas, can contribute to certain cancers, such as lung cancer, and possibly others like breast or skin cancer. Participants will attend a short educational presentation at clinics treating these cancers. Cancer survivors, caregivers, family, or friends of cancer patients living in Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, or Nevada can join. The trial focuses on empowering these individuals with knowledge to aid in cancer care and prevention. As an unphased trial, it offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights for cancer prevention and care.

Research has shown that educational programs for cancer survivors are safe and well-liked. Studies have found no negative effects from these programs. Participants often report feeling more satisfied with their care and having gained more knowledge. In one study, 92% of participants felt more confident in managing survivorship care after attending an educational session.
