What is the purpose of this trial?
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if a non-opioid pain medicine called suzetrigine can lower how much opioid pain medicine adults need after tonsil surgery (tonsillectomy) or a similar throat surgery.

This trial is for adults who are having their tonsils removed or a similar throat surgery and need pain management afterward. People with certain medical conditions, allergies to study drugs, or other factors that could affect safety may not be able to join.Inclusion Criteria

Trial Overview
The study tests whether suzetrigine, a non-opioid pain medicine, can reduce the amount of opioid (oxycodone) needed after tonsil or throat surgery. Acetaminophen is also used as part of standard care.

Experimental Treatment
Active Control
Participants will receive the standard of care medications (acetaminophen and oxycodone) for their post-operative course to manage their pain plus suzetrigine (100mg loading dose followed by q12 50mg PO) up to two weeks.
