What is the purpose of this trial?

The purpose of this study is to see if lactulose can improve the effectiveness of immunotherapy in patients with advanced cancer.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

Inclusion Criteria

I am able to care for myself and do light activities.
Phase I: Patients must be able to ingest liquids
Phase II: Patients must be able to ingest liquids

Exclusion Criteria

Phase I: History of allergic reactions to compounds chemically or biologically similar to ICIs or lactulose
I do not have another active cancer, or I have been disease-free for over 2 years.
I do not have a large bowel.
